Senior Capstone Project
The Sport and Medical Sciences Academy believes in the incredible gains students make when challenged to give back to their community through a project of their own design. SMSA's Capstone Project encourages students to focus on a particular social problem, interest, or personal skill, in order to create a unique service project that truly reflects who they are as young men and women about to enter the adult world.
Since 2013 our students have continued to amaze not only us, but themselves, as they take charge and give back to their community. The self-confidence and self-awareness that our students gain through this experience is exciting. Our students often gain new perspective when engaging with their community. SMSA students are an inspiration and testament to the power of young people, and we are so proud of the all the tiny ripples of goodwill they have sent out into the world.
